Help restore Louisville's urban tree canopy by becoming a Citizen Forester!
Citizen Forester Training 101 is the foundation of Louisville Grows' Urban Forestry Program. Through the training, participants learn how to restore and maintain Louisville's urban forest. Participants are taught basic tree anatomy and physiology, environmental stewardship, tree planting skills and how to lead other volunteers in proper planting and caring for trees.
Training is open to individuals of all abilities, ages 12 years and older. The training cost is $25. Register here at this link! Scholarships available upon request. Light refreshments will be provided. All trainees receive a Citizen Forester t-shirt.
The training will be held at in person at Louisville Grows' Healthy House in the Portland neighborhood. Participants must be fully vaccinated and masks will be required during the training. Seating is limited.
