Nikki Chambers is a 24 year employee of Hopkinsville Water Environment Authority where she is the Supervisor of the Moss Water Treatment Plant. She joined the League of Women Voters in 2018 and is the Environmental Chair for the Hopkinsville League of Women Voters and the Environmental Director for the Kentucky League of Women Voters.

The League of Women Voters has developed positions on various environmental topics that affect our state and the livelihoods of the people who live here.  

Shirley Cantrell Attended University of Louisville, Worked in Accounting for Standard Oil, University of Louisville, Department of Pharmacology, Hussung Mechanical Contractors, Barmore Construction Company, Bornstein Electric Company and Stevens Contractors

 She joined the Louisville League of Women Voters in 2016.  She is the Committee Chair for the Natural Resources Committee.  

The purpose of the Natural Resources Committee is to see that all water, air and earth is cleaned up and kept clean. The Natural Resources Committee recently had its first committee meeting post COVID and has revised their Agenda.  D-Day (no turning back) for climate change is fast approaching and could be as early as 2035. We are planning on broadening our influence and being more widespread to address not only our State, our Country but also the World.

Together, Nikki and Shirley will explain the importance of the date 2035 and the ramifications that it will have on the World.
