Bernheim’s Nature Poetry Workshop Series—Walt Whitman edition!

The Nature Poetry Workshop series will provide participants with opportunities to read and discuss famous nature-based poems and to then compose their own poetry inspired by their experiences at Bernheim and following in the footsteps of the poetic masters who will be examined throughout each installment of the program.

Participants can register for a single workshop or opt to attend multiple/all. Poets covered in this course will encompass a variety of styles and eras. Each session will be dedicated to a specific poet/theme, but connections will be made to other writers from across the series. All poems covered and written during this time will have a direct link to the natural world. Emphasis will be placed on regionally relevant texts.
