Human Rights Day

Human Rights Day is the globally recognized day to celebrate and honor the anniversary of the adoption by the UN of the UDHR.

This groundbreaking document was the first time the Global Community came together and agreed: a) that all human beings on the planet are deserving of a basic set of human rights; and b) that governments have an affirmative responsibility to ensure that their citizenry fully enjoy these human rights. The UDHR defines these sets of rights to be both universal and inalienable.

In 2021, The Justice Center at All Peoples hosted the first local celebration of Human Rights Day. In 2022, we’re expanding our event. It will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022 from 7 pm-9 pm. This live and virtual event will be held at the All Peoples Congregation, 4936 Brownsboro Rd. Louisville KY 40222.
