Design Issues Series: Watershed Exhibit + Panel

Every year, GBBN undertakes its Design Issues Series (DIS), an open-ended design experiment that seeks to deepen the community’s connection to design.

This year’s topic, “Watershed,” explores how some of our most ‘natural’ experiences are shaped by human decisions. Using Augmented Reality and some very large maps, the exhibit documents the state of the watersheds and tree canopies in the US cities GBBN calls home – and what that means for our community. This one-day exhibit will also feature a panel discussion on the state of Louisville’s natural resources.

Panelists include:

  • Allison Smith, Assistant Director, Office of Advanced Planning and Sustainability, Louisville Metro Government

  • Ked Stanfield, Executive Director, Louisville Grows

  • Monica Unseld, PhD, MPH, Until Justice Data Partners

  • Tiffany Broyles Yost, Director of Sustainability & Resilience, GBBN (Moderator)
