Guest Speaker: Shauntrice Martin from Feed the West and Black Market KY

Featuring one of our Community Microgrant Winners, The Muse Farm

Muse Farm was created in honor of all the Black and Indigenous farmers whose land was stolen. Named for her great-grandmother Willie B. Muse, this cultivation project is meant to teach horticulture to communities suffering from a food apartheid. Muse Farm will be maintained by Black Market KY and serve hundreds of residents over the next nine months.

A five-week intensive workshop series that will teach West End residents about horticulture, agri-business, and fundraising to cultivate a richer understanding of food systems. 100% of seeds/food will be purchased from local Black farmers. Participants will be paid a stipend upon program completion.
