John Bowen will be presenting on climate change and severe weather correlation, including the most recent tragedy of tornadoes in Western Kentucky.
John Bowen is a Graduate student at Western Kentucky University currently seeking a Masters in Homeland Security Science along the Emergency Management track. John’s degree is in meteorology with a certificate in Emergency Management Disaster Science. He has been with Dr. Josh Durkee on multiple field severe weather forecast workshops and serves as WKU’s primary emergency management operator for the new Disaster Science Operations Centers and our campus weather service, White Squirrel Weather. John has been forecasting with White Squirrel Weather for over four years now and has presented the work they do at several conferences including the National Weather Association annual meeting. John has also assisted in forecasting for several large national entities such as the C-USA conference and NASCAR.
