July Green Drinks-Environmental Journalism

  • Gravely Brewing Co 514 Baxter Avenue Louisville, KY, 40204 United States (map)

Green Drinks Lou is a casual monthly meet-up of community members and organizations. Each month we host different speakers from across the city to educate and inform the community on local happenings, projects, and initiatives. Each presentation is followed by Q&A, discussion, and networking.

When & Where?
July 19, 6pm EDT at GRAVELY BREWING 514 BAXTER AVENUE LOUISVILLE, KY 40204

What Will We Learn About?
Kentuckians are facing the climate crisis, rapid biodiversity loss and severe environmental injustices. That’s why The Courier Journal applied for – and was awarded – a grant from a national service program called Report for America that resulted in the hiring of Connor Giffin, the Courier Journal’s environmental reporter. Connor will talk about the importance of environmental journalism in Kentucky, the work he has done thus far and the work we have yet to do.

Will There Be Drinks?
Gravely has a full bar menu and food truck available for purchase.

This event is free and open to the public, so bring a friend and we look forward to seeing you there!
