An Interactive GIS Learning Tool for JCPS Students: Communicating Sustainability Data to the Leaders of Tomorrow

This program will produce an interactive GIS learning tool that enhances JCPS student’s understanding of the built, natural, and social environments.

This program will work collaboratively with JCPS teachers and environmental organizations to produce an interactive GIS tool that enhances JCPS student’s understanding of the built, natural, and social environments. This tool will help students examine their own communities and the environmental issues facing them while also providing information that allows them to better engage their social and political environments. Students engaging this program will have a greater understanding of the environment and better channels to advocate for policy change.
