Our Story

In 2010, the Bingham Fellows cohort brought together 40 experienced Louisville leaders with diverse and unique voices to address the region’s most critical question: How do we position Louisville as a national leader in sustainability?

From years of research, development and community connection, the Louisville Sustainability Council (LSC) was born - giving collective voice to an equitable movement of sustainability in our community.

Unlike any other organization in the region, the LSC’s mission-centric work strategically connects and convenes diverse organizations and businesses with the shared goal of creating a more just and sustainable future for our Louisville community. By hosting education-based events and workshops, creating accessible resources, and funding sustainability-driven projects across the state, the LSC strives to catalyze and maximize our collective impact within the social, environmental and economic sustainability sectors.
