Louisville officials are planning a January summit to promote Mayor Greg Fischer’s environmental agenda and his Sustain Louisville plan.
“The sustainability summit is designed to create action teams that work on developing and implementing initiatives toward achieving Sustain Louisville goals,” said Maria Koetter, the mayor’s sustainability officer. “It is definitely a working event and not an event where you sit and listen to educational information.”
Koetter said the summit, to be held at the Louisville Zoo, will start with a reception and kickoff on Jan. 17 and conclude with a daylong workshop Jan. 18. She said details are still being developed.
